Hannam Chain Market World
About This Spot
Stepping into Hannam Chain Market World is like entering a vibrant crossroads of Korean culture tucked into the heart of Diamond Bar. The pace here is unhurried, inviting you to take your time as you navigate aisles brimming with items that feel both familiar and intriguingly new. There’s a lived-in warmth to the space—even as the shelves and displays wear the patina of many visits, they carry an unpretentious charm that speaks to a place rooted in community rather than trend.
The store hums quietly with the rhythm of shoppers discovering ingredients and snacks that might be rare finds elsewhere—rice cakes in translucent bags, vivid packages of spice blends, fresh produce that promises authenticity, and a small bakery nook where the faint scent of freshly baked Korean pastries lingers softly. It’s the kind of place where curiosity takes the lead, drawing you toward hidden gems that spark memories or inspire new culinary adventures.
Adjacent to the bustling grocery aisles, there’s a modest noodle spot where the air carries the savory, comforting aroma of traditional broths and spice. Watching local visitors—especially elders—enjoy their meals with a relaxed intensity lends the space a quiet testament to genuine flavors and familiar traditions. That simple, unspoken approval from those who know best quietly reassures you that this is a place worth savoring.
Hannam Chain Market World feels less like a supermarket and more like a chapter of everyday life for those who cherish Korean flavors and culture. Its atmosphere encourages thoughtful wandering, discovery, and the joy of bringing home more than just groceries—it offers a small, sensory connection to a larger world just beyond the neighborhood streets.

Amazing place if you've never been here. So many different kinds of foods and items that you won't find in a normal US store or even other non- Korean Asian markets. Highly recommended if you want a nice visual and gastronomic selection to take home.

Store feels rather old and not in the best upkeep however, they do have pretty decent produce at good prices. They have a small bakery section which offers Korean pastries.

this is a review for the Jajangmyun - Ja Jang Myun / Cham Pong restaurant to the left side of the supermarket. I wasn't going to get some , but I kept seeing older korean people slurping their noodles down with joy and ferocity. And When I see old school korean people chowing down... I know it's legit. And BOY was it. Cham Pong - the spicy seafood noodle soup. Flavor ON POINT. Broth, spicy and cool. Seafood yummy I didnt eat one unopened mussel Noodles (ok, not hand made noodles) but cooked right to aldente. Photo to show size and girth of noodle bowl. ITS MASSIVE Jajang Myun - Smoky, tasty so good. If you are looking for one of the BEST jajangmyun in the area outside of LA. This is someplace, I would take my 84 year old father when he visits SoCal. Its hard to find Good Jajang myun and Cham pong at sit down restaurants, but this place is legit. Photo to show size and girth of noodle bowl. ITS MASSIVE
